Surgical Instrumental Knot

In a one-handed knot, one end of the filament may be held with a needle holder instead of the hand. This way you can set secure nodes even in hard-to-reach areas. Alternatively, the left hand can work with tweezers.
CAVE: Knotting brings relief when one end of the filament is short and the other one long (as shown). This not only simplifies the knot, but also saves filament material!

wie soll man das lernen bei der Schnelligkeit ?
Man muss zunächst, wie zu Beginn gezeigt, die anderen beiden Knotentechniken lernen. Dazu gibt es jeweils ein Video auf diesem Kanal. Dann ist die Schnelligkeit absolut nachvollziehbar ;)

Sorry for the late answer. You are right. This knot isn't used as much as the others. But in some cases where you can't reach the wound very well but want stability with the first knot, this is a possibility :)

What difference does it make if the striped string at the beginning is either over/under the other string?
Hello T-Bone Hipbone, if I understand your question correctly, you are referring to second 20? If not, please explain again. In general, you could also do the "indexfinger-knot" (one handed righty - Part II) with the lower string. But the knot is more aesthetic and develops even a bit more strength using the orientation described. Just try and knot the situation on a thicker string, like a shoelace. With the correct Orientation, the final knot is even/level. Using the opposit orientation (lower filament + indexfinger-knot) the knot ends uneven. I hope I could answer your question.
